We are known as a place to bump into friends and neighbors. A meeting place after the kid's game, before their parties, or on the way for sushi & ice-cream…..

Get your kids in their engineer's gear for under our tent you will find a large layout for the kids to arrange "miles" of track, bridges, and accessories. Thomas colouring pages with buckets of art supplies at the kids disposal.

Teddy Bear Picnic and Parade CoquitlamCome Visit Us on Sunday June 13th , 2010As the Tri-Cities oldest specialty independent toy store we have been participating in this wonderful children's event for many years back to 2004. We've had Lego and Calico Critters, gifts for the kids, water play, cool crafts, Hop balls, bubbles, prizes, surprises, WOW, and the ever popular giant mat of Thomas wooden trains. On-lookers of the parade must be able to tell how much fun we have twirling those ribbon sticks as they always sell out fast right afterwards.

VIP CLUB ANNUAL FALL SALENext VIP Sale late Sept or early October 2009Just once a year we have our (almost) store wide sale that is exclusively for our VIP Club members. It is 20% off for 3 whole days yet the crowds are consistently plentiful the first morning when the selection is best. Everyone is very pleasant and it is quite the celebratory neighbourly atmosphere. The prepared shoppers bring their long lists of "wishes" previously scouted. We bring doughnut holes and/or an anniversary cake, warm blankets and chairs for those who are waiting before we open and giant bags to carry the "treasures" around the store safely. This is a rare event where most customers actually leave their kids at home for some "secret shopping" and adults play uninterrupted.

Newport Village Annual Festa ItalianaUsually the Sunday in August before the PNEAs President of the former Newport Village Merchant Association, Kirsten Anderson was one of the founders of this highly successful charitable event. This street party grew enormously over the the last 5 years. Since there are so many charming shops owned by Italians in the "piazza" of Newport and the overall European feel it just seemed like a natural fit. Where else can you go for a watermelon or spaghetti eating contest, Italian car show, hilarious games, food to drool over, cultural dancers and singers and so much more - all without a plane ticket! Year round we are the source for Italian model toy cars, toys Made in Italy such as Androni, Clementoni, Quercetti and the beautiful German Ravensburger Puzzles picturing Italy . Harry Potter PARTIESSadly the LAST ONE July 21st, 2007Every time JK Rowling released another book we just had to throw a party. Oh what fun we muggles had with all the festivities: reaching for galleons in the troll guts, chocolate frogs, trivia contests, an actual magician, costume contests, guess the number of Bertie Botz Beans, Potions Class, "Quiditch" games and most importantly getting our hands on the must read book of the summer. There were always kids who sat right on the sidewalk and dove right into Hogwarts before our eyes! See the Press page for the front cover of The Now at one of our parties.
