Gift Wrapping By Donation to Charity
We can have your gifts wrapped up lickety-split in gorgeous gift bags with matching tissue and ribbon. Upon request, for your convenience, we can include a gift receipt for easy exchanges and refunds for your recipient. You will love how fast and easy this service is compared to wrapping paper. Plus they can be re-used over and over again. If you have your own gift bag that you’d like to reuse feel free to bring it in and we can put our tissue and ribbon on it to co-ordinate.
Ask us for ideas on unique gift toppers that can be theme related to make your gift even more memorable. Helium balloons are especially popular, but the possibilities are endless.

Gift Certificates
Can’t decide? Gift Certificates are a flexible solution allowing the recipient to decide from endless possibilities. Our beautiful certificates are available in any denomination and come gift wrapped in a super special way.

Having trouble finding something? We are able to special order some items for you, just let us know and we’ll try to source it out for you. We’ll always do our best to meet your needs.
Holds
Have you found that many stores won’t hold items for you anymore? If you need some time, we’ll put items on hold for you for up to 48 hours (and this can be flexible depending on the circumstances). We hope this helps when you know you absolutely must have something but can’t get in until a bit later. Sorry, we don’t do lay-away

Teacher Discount
For teachers and therapists we give a 10% discount for toys purchased for exclusive use on the job. We hope that this helps stretch your budget a bit further as we know how much of your own personal money and time is devoted to kids. We ask that you register yourself (with school or institution name) in our VIP club to receive the discount. This is also our way of saying THANKS for doing one of the most important jobs out there -helping kids.

If you aren't already a member read on about our super, amazing VIP Club! When designing this club we made sure there was no reason not to join.
If you are already a member the folowing details may be helpful information.
Thousands of people from across BC are members; 80 % of those who come in The Village Toy Shop are already in The Club! Why?

#2. THERE IS NO CARD TO CARRY!!!
#3. You will receive a 10% discount off of all regular priced TOYS* (except Lego) for an entire year from the date your total purchases reach only $100 (before tax).
#4. You will be invited to our only Store Wide Sale and other exclusive member only events.
We have not found a more generous rewards program to date and we think that our Club is also one of the many reasons that people travel from all over the lower mainland just to visit our little shop.
More Details …..
• The club never costs you anything! There are no fees or renewals. You don’t have to spend a certain amount to recoup the cost of your membership (like most rewards programs). There are no obligations or strings.
• This is not a one shot deal! You don’t have to spend $100 in one day or even one year. You could take up to two years to build up to $100. If we have not recorded a purchase in two years we will assume you must have moved away (so we don’t take it personally) and remove your name from the club. Of course you are welcome to put it back in anytime.
• Your discount is not by calendar year! So if you finally reach $100 in October your discount will not expire in January but the following October!
• After you have received that discount for ONE FULL YEAR your membership does not expire. You do not have to sign up again. We put your purchases back to 0$ and start accumulating them back to $100 again so you can be back at your discount level again lickety-split!
• Our biggest event of the year is our Anniversary Sale 20% OFF ALL regular priced toys* This is a highly anticipated event with line ups out the door. You will receive an exclusive invitation to this annual event. The timing couldn’t be better – October. We only do one complete club mail out a year so no worries on junk mail. Watch for it in your mail or email!!!!
• If you have left your email address with us we will notify you of any sales, promotions, play days, craft or games nights or exclusive parties as they arise. Often these are un-advertised except in the store so it is a great advantage to be on the email list. At the most emails would be monthly.
• THERE IS NO CARD TO CARRY IN YOUR WALLET! Our members love the fact that we find you by phone number in our computer and not by another rewards card to weigh you down.
• We appreciate your trust and therefore your personal information provided is for our store use only. We are a small “mom n’ pop” operation that would never consider selling or disclosing your information.
• No “black-out periods”.
* Definition of “Regular Priced Toy” its just what you might think: something for a child (or adult) to play with a regular price tag. Not discounted sale items or Promotionally priced toys. Excludes: CDs, DVDs, greeting cards, clothing, shoes, candy and books.
Important to know:
• We must receive a complete and accurate name, address, and phone number for membership. We use your phone number to find you in the database, but we’ll never call you (unless you ask us to). If the initial sign up form is illegible then there may be no way to input your information into our system. We can not be held liable for any mail or e-mail that is lost, delayed, or misdirected.
• If by any chance we ever lost your information due to an unforeseen computer crash or human error we would be absolutely devastated, mortified, and would go to extremes to retrieve it. If however, we can not find your information, for any reason including our own fault, we can not count on memory to rebuild a membership. “Lost members” will have to re-sign up and start back at 0$ purchases with our sincere apologies.
• Please inform us that you are in “The Club” before we ring in your purchases. Otherwise you’ll have to wait while we re-do the transaction. Thanks for your help.
• If any of your information changes please let us know - especially your address, phone number or email address.
• You can include one “other purchaser” on your membership. This person must be either be a spouse, close relative or live in the same household to receive your benefits. We ask that friends sign up for their own membership. It is a non-transferable membership.
• The benefits and rules of this Club are subject to change or cancellation without notice (though they have never changed yet).
